We visited a village named Galte Jatun Loma today, and after holding a training for the Community Workers we did a bit of schmoozing {and by schmoozing I mean giving the Community Workers Coke and ham sandwiches}. During this said 'schmoozing' Oliver politely asked the Community Workers what their plans were for the upcoming holiday, Carnaval. Oliver asked if they would be holding fiestas and dancing...in which the community workers replied...we are not allowed to dance. Upon hearing this {and without thinking} I exclaimed "Footloose." It took everything inside of me to not break out in some sweet dance moves.Although the rest of humanity is within six degrees of Kevin Bacon, the citizens of Galte Jatun Loma are only one degree from Kevin Bacon. It is okay to be jealous, we all are.
