Now we all know that Oliver is not very tall; on a good day he is around 5'7". That means that this lady is a grand total of 6 inches. Ecuadorians are literally the smallest people on the face of the planet. We ran into this sweetheart at a flea market in Guamote. Look at her...she is a genious. I love it. I showed this picture to Rolando {co-worker} and the first word out of his mouth was "Willow."
*****
English words we have taught Rolando so far:
Super Duper
Okie Dokie
Poopie
Fetch
Lyrics to "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi {upon Rolando's request of course}.
Let's get outta here.

He should have no problem making his way around the United States.

Cute picture Oliver! Enjoy being a giant for a while!
Wow that lady is small! I would probably feel like a giant there too. -Maeve
No wonder Oliver LOVES Ecuador. By "willow," did Rolando mean, "tall?" I think about you and pray for you everyday.
MOMO
Mom...Willow is a movie with midgets in it.
Oh no, what are you doing to those people? Poopie? Interesting, very interesting. I love that you are able to blog from way out there. Keep the updates coming!
I'm glad you cleared that up, Carly..I was also wondering about Willow.
Your blog is so fun to check out! What an experience! When Nicole went to Tiawan for 3 months we keep in touch daily with e-mails, it was a life saver for me. Blogging will be perfect to keep everybody updated and know you are ok!! Carly maybe you can find Postum there!! I have a jar I will save for you when you get back!!!
ok, so i am commenting again, but are you with "ascend alliance" by chance? because we worked with a guy named rolando there too. does he have a brother named renan?
ok, now i realized i have more things to say, have you met carlos? he's a member of the church who lives in riobamba. young-thirties. married with two kids. good-looking guy.
and one more, there's a family who the husband is a caucasian professor and the wife is ecuadorian and they have two high school/jr. high kids named chip and millie.
and if your rolando is the same as my rolando, he and his brother, renan taught me to say "carajo!" and telling me it meant something other than what it means, which is a swear word. funny guys, they are.
i hope you know these people, because they are all so great.
Becca...believe it or not Carlos isn't a member (but I am pretty sure he wants to be) and yes, we have met all of those people...except Renan.
