We have been home from South America for two weeks, and what a couple of weeks it has been. With the passing of a dear friend, spending time with grandparents, greeting new babies into the world, morning hikes, starting work, retail therapy, amazing family members, wonderful friends moving away {and moving closer}, mini ski vacations {sorry Utahns, but I adore the snow}, Oliver jumping back into school, and beginning to think about life plans and our next big adventure, we have been super busy. Right now it is nice to live the simple, suburban life {don't worry, Oliver doesn't allow things to be too simple}; and I don't really want to go anywhere for a while.

P.S. I love carpet, down comforters, ceiling fans, plumbing, dishwashers, crockpots, clean bathrooms, toilet paper, and speaking English. LOVE. THEM.

I have to say.......that I am with you on the toilet paper thing. What do they use in Ecuador? Wait.....maybe you shouldn't tell me.
Call me tomorrow when you have time! Glad you have had a good few weeks! Do you have any healthy crock pot recipes?
I'm so happy for you! Let the adventures continue!!!
Whenever I come back from backpacking trips, I do enjoy being around English and especially clean loo's as well!
I have to agree with the your list of things you love--and I was only in Spain for two weeks! Especially ENGLISH. And carpet. I can't even imagine what it must have been like for you... I would have died after the first month. You're amazing.
Alright Car...when are YOU going to come stay with me in NYC?
I showed Blair your house yesterday when we were driving past Home Depot. He thought it was the coolest thing he's ever seen.
I felt EXACTLY how you felt when I arrived from Brasil...I think I spent a total of 6 hours in the shower, so excited that the water actually got hot and I didn't have to wear flip flops.
The recycled newspaper/toilet paper wasn't nearly as bad as the tissue paper that was used as napkins...
