Some friends threw us a small "goodbye" party last night, and that is where I taught them to make chocolate chip cookies, spaghetti, and meatballs. I thought that 6 of our closest friends would be there, but there ended up being 20 and a ton of children {we were running around all over the neighborhood gathering more ingredients from neighbors}. I didn't take any photos because I forgot my camera, and I was too busy cooking. Everything turned out good, and everyone seemed to really enjoy the food {thank you Katie, Mom, and Christine}. It was fun and it kind of made me sad to go home {kinda}.
The highlight {or lowlight - you decide} of the night was when I peaked out of the kitchen long enough to see Oliver entertaining the guests. He had somehow managed to start a small bonfire on a piece of fine china in our host's living room...and yes, it was on purpose {this is soooo Oliver}. My screams and warnings got engulfed in the flames and in the cheerings of the latinos. Luckily there aren't rules or taboos in Ecuador {anything goes}, so nobody was horrified except for his dear wife. Sometimes I seriously fear for our future offspring, between the quirks of Oliver and myself, they are going to be c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y out of control.

A bon fire in the house? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Ozz, there will be no bon fires in my living room.....right???
Cassie I am coming home and the next stop on my circuit is your highly flamable living room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAAAAAA
I don't think your offspring will be out of control if you stay in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. There are more things to do and you won't have to start bonfires on china plates for entertainment!
wow, what exciting dinner theatre!
P.S. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. :)
