We spent 3 days in the Uintas this past weekend backpacking. Just the two of us. We packed over Mount Baldy to the base of Red Castle {kind of the back side of King's Peak}. It was beautitul, but it was freezing. Nothing quite like pumping your water from a river that has ice in it. As always, Oliver was in Mountain Man Heaven.

We were up camping in the Uintas this weekend as well. We weren't nearly as high as you guys and it was chilly. I bet you guys were freezing.

Oh I love the Uintas, we usually go camping there every year, but we missed this year. Bummer. Looks as beautiful as ever!
I can't believe that I have never been to the Uintas.
Was that fun for you, or did you just do it for Oliver? The last time I did something like that I broke a toe, fainted from my tight joradache jeans, and fried my face and feet. I was 12.
