Congrats to Bethers who was just given the new "Davis Elementary #59" school! It is a Math & Science elementary. We are excited because it is in our neighborhood and it is the school our children will go to!

Here is the email Mom sent to everyone to tell us:
Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to tell you that I was chosen to be the principal of the new elementary (#59) in Kaysville, just off Shepard Lane. It will be a space-themed elementary with many technological, math, and science features. Every 3rd and 5th grade student will have a desktop computer. I feel blessed because there were many fine principals that applied. Tonight I will be approved by the school board (hopefully). I haven't been able to tell anyone but Dad until this afternoon. For a glimpse of the school, go to the district web site. It is very close to Carly's house in a beautiful neighborhood. It was the former site of the LDS welfare dairy farm. I have loved my East Layton school but I have been here 8 years and I want to leave while everything is at a high point. I have had strong feelings about this school for a year and a half. I would ride my bike by the excavation area and would feel a strong pull to be there. I just wanted you to know!

Hey we were just talking with our neighbors about this school and how our kids will be going there. Where do you live?
That is so cool!
Go Beth! That is so great, and how great for you guys to be so close. I bet she is such a great principal.
Tell her congrats...how fun to have grandma beth as your kids principle.
Ohhh, this is so neat! Your mother is amazing.
Congrats to Beth - very cool school.
And congrats to Carly for being back to blogging!
I just heard about this yesterday!!! Awesome!!! So close....I am loving the desktop computers! Ab is in third grade next year....hmmmm....;)
Congrats to Bethers! So...I know that each student will be presented with their very own MacBook Air, but will they have access to Oregon Trail? That is my main concern for the children. PS why have I not seen this school yet? It's a flipping space ship.
that's really exciting news. what a neat school it will be too.
Congrats Beth!
Yay for Beth!
