Uncle Oliver and Aunt Carly's 1st Annual Christmas Party

On December 1st there was a huge wind storm in Davis County.  We woke up and our neighbor's barn had been blown into our backyard.  The wind knocked over more than 600 trees at Oakridge Country Club, and a lot of our neighbors were missing fences, roofs, trampolines, grills, trees, patio furniture and anything else you could think of.  It was a disaster.  We were lucky and only lost a bit of facia on the front of our home, but I will never forget the sight of my curtains blowing in the wind even though my windows were closed.  There was so much destruction that our power was out for 24 hours (some people didn't have power for up to 4 days!).

December 1st was also the day we planned our first annual nieces and nephews Christmas Party.  Luckily my Mom's power came back on around 4pm, so we moved the party to her house.  There were a lot of complications and it wasn't as grand as I had planned, but we partied on and we had fun.  We made elf hats, decorated cookies, and visited with Santa.  Just as we were finishing up, the power went out again... so we finished up by flashlight.

Canon and Santa (Nonny).

Ellie sat on Santa's lap 5 times.  She loves him.
