Oregon Road Trip

This year for my birthday Oliver planned and booked a roadtrip.  We headed to the Pacific Northwest.

We spent the first night in Boise.  It had a fun little downtown area, but unfortunately everything closed at 7pm.  So we just strolled around and had dinner at a local restaurant.

The next day we drove to Mt. Hood Oregon.  We were blown away by the beauty.  After settling in to our hotel we hiked around Mt. Hood and walked through the Timberline Lodge.

The following morning we woke up and hiked to Mirror Lake.  The trees and views were incredible.

Then it was off to Portland.

We spent one day wandering around the city to all of the different neighborhoods, and then the next day we rode our bikes all over the bike paths.

...and the pregnant girl had to make a pit stop at Voodoo Donuts.

After Portland we headed to the coast.  Cannon Beach stole my heart.

We both loved Cannon Beach.  We walked along the beach, rode our bikes through the town and enjoyed a delicious lunch.  We camped that night in Warrenton.

I couldn't get enough of all of the Hydrangeas growing along the Oregon Coast.  So dreamy!

The next day we went to Astoria.  It reminded us a lot of Alaska.  We saw the sites and went to the Goonies house and then took in all of the views of that glorious Columbia River.

After Astoria we headed to Couer D'alene, Idaho.  On the way we stopped at Mt Rainier National Park.  We drove through the park and hiked until Oliver could see Mt Rainier.  He had never seen it in person.  He loved it.

We spent a few days in Couer D'alene.  We had a ball.  We rode around the lake, kayaked in the lake, went swimming in the warm water, and enjoyed the beautiful small town.  We only managed to take one photo.  This is me riding around the lake on my bike.

We had a great time, what a wonderful present.
