Confession

I was expecting more out of my evening last night, a lot more... Mama Mia was a big let down. The scenery was bad, there was not nearly enough dancing, the stars seemed tired, and definitely not enough flamboyancy. I was not even offended when Oliver started to moan and groan in the second act. Usually I walk away from a Broadway with a high...there was no high last night, just a regret for spending all that money. I am hoping to find time to see Hairspray soon, so that I can rejuvenate my Broadway slump; meanwhile, I will be grieving.

That is sad. How far into the run are they? When I saw it, I felt the music was great and lively but some of it made me a little uncomfortable though the cast was very good in Los Vegas. Hairspray is a toe tapper!

Sorry it was not what you were wanting! So do you suggest just seeing it in NY or Vegas? My friends have been raving about Wicked, they saw it in Chicago! I want to go there and see it!

I hear that Wicked is unbelievable...you should go and see that. From what mom said, it sounds like Mama Mia would be better in Vegas or NYC.

Yeah, I have not heard great things about Mama Mia either. Maybe it is just here, don't know. Wicked was great in New York, and I think it is coming to SLC this next year.

You know I have heard the same thing about Mama Mia from a number of people. Wicked was amazing in New York, and I think I heard it is coming to SLC this next year.

Carly, I felt the same way about it... In all honesty, I fell asleep before it was over. I was bored to death!
